Product highlights
The ATH W®142 is a professional, microprocessor-controlled wheel balancer specially developed for flexible use with truck, bus, van and car wheels. The system features a semi-automatic 2D function that independently detects the distance and rim diameter and requires manual entry of the rim width. Control is intuitive via an ergonomically positioned front control panel, complemented by a generously designed weight console with numerous storage compartments.
The digital and optical position display via a high-contrast LED monitor, together with the precise Duo-Laser system (LPS) for the 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock position, ensures maximum accuracy when placing the balancing weights. The measuring process runs fully automatically, supported by an efficient electric drive and an integrated automatic start-stop function when the wheel guard is closed. After the measuring run, the machine automatically brakes the wheel using a pneumatic brake. The operator has a total of eleven specialised balancing programs for static and dynamic measurements, ALU programs for cars and trucks, as well as a function for concealed behind-spoke placement.
Comfortable, effort-saving handling of heavy commercial vehicle wheels is ensured by a powerful pneumatic wheel lift. Adhesive weights can be attached precisely either via the integrated measuring finger or via pinpoint-accurate laser positioning at the 6 o'clock position. Mechanical securing of the wheel is conveniently possible via the pneumatic parking brake, operated by foot pedal. The machine is supplied as standard with a universal 3/4/5-point centring flange, enabling immediate, flexible use in professional workshop operations.
