Product highlights
The ATH 7228 is a high load-capacity truck tyre changer specially designed for intensive use in professional commercial vehicle service. The system combines a powerful electro-hydraulic drive for lifting, lowering and clamping the wheel with an electric drive for the precise rotary movement of the clamping arms. Four robust clamping claws guarantee an absolutely secure hold on the rim throughout the entire work process. The hydraulic longitudinal movement of the slide ensures exact alignment. The mounting arm can be moved manually in the longitudinal direction and is flexibly rotatable and foldable, significantly increasing ergonomics and operating comfort.
The machine processes wheel and tyre combinations up to a total diameter of 1,600 mm flawlessly and efficiently. Two selectable mounting speeds of 4 and 8 revolutions per minute allow flexible adaptation to the respective tyre type and the desired work progress. Control is via a fully movable control unit equipped with a precise joystick and a foot pedal, allowing the operator to always maintain an optimal view of the mounting area. The ATH 7228 is excellently suited for standard truck and bus wheels up to 28 inches and can be easily extended with optionally available accessories for the gentle handling of aluminium rims.
