ATH W®64
Precise measuring technology meets optimised workshop processes: the digital car wheel balancer ATH W®64 sets new standards in terms of speed and accuracy in tyre service. Through innovative automation functions and intuitive operation, this system ensures highly efficient working at maximum throughput in daily professional workshop use.
Product highlights
The ATH W®64 is a stationary wheel balancer for professional use on car and light-truck wheels. The system is equipped with a robust 40 mm threaded shaft which, in combination with an extended clamping shaft, guarantees the flexible use of additional clamping devices as well as permanently secure wheel centring. A contact-free sonar technology performs the automatic detection of the rim width, which noticeably reduces set-up times and effectively rules out measurement errors.
The measuring and balancing process is controlled via automatic positioning, which guides the wheel, after the measuring run, precisely into the correct position for attaching the weights. A precise laser display in the 6 o'clock position ensures error-free placement of the adhesive weights. Visualisation of all data and working steps takes place on a large 22-inch LCD monitor, which enables clear and well-structured operator guidance.
In addition to the standard programs for static and dynamic balancing, the machine features dedicated alloy balancing programs for optimising the balancing process on light-alloy wheels. An integrated split behind-spoke function allows visually concealed placement of the weights behind the rim spokes. A special optimisation program also provides fine-tuning between tyre and rim, in order to further reduce the residual imbalance level. The versatility of the unit can be extended by means of an optional motorcycle function. In addition to the balancing shaft, the scope of delivery includes a comprehensive accessory package consisting of a rim measuring gauge, weight pliers, a 100 g calibration weight, an Allen key, four centring cones ranging from 45 to 135 mm, a quick-release nut, and a clamping cover.
