The ATH M®52 is designed as a powerful passenger-car tyre changer specifically for the high demands of professional everyday workshop operations. The pneumatic rear-pivot unit is equipped with automatic distance control to the rim flange, which automatically secures the mounting head in the optimal position during pneumatic clamping, reliably preventing scratches or damage to the rim. The intuitive control of the entire workflow is via ergonomically arranged foot pedals, ensuring efficient and effort-saving operation.

The self-centring, pre-settable 4-jaw clamping system ensures secure and material-friendly wheel clamping. Driven by two double-acting aluminium clamping cylinders, it offers a flexible external clamping range of up to 22 inches, which can additionally be adjusted by minus 2 inches. An integrated, 3-stage quick adjustment noticeably speeds up the changeover process for varying wheel sizes in workshop operation. The powerful lateral bead breaker, likewise fitted with a double-acting aluminium cylinder and an integrated anti-jamming system, guarantees safe and controlled release of the tyre even with demanding wheel-tyre combinations.

The machine is ideally designed for passenger-car wheels and can optionally be extended with suitable accessories for working on motorcycle wheels. For absolutely effortless and damage-free demounting and mounting of modern low-profile, UHP and run-flat tyres, the ATH M®52 can be flexibly upgraded with the pneumatically controlled assist mounting arm ATH A34, guaranteeing maximum future security and an extended performance range in operation.
